Creating an account

A pre-requisite of purchasing items from us is that you create an account. This help page explains the value of having an account and then discusses the account creation process in detail.
Account benefits
Creating an account has a number of benefits for both you, the shopper and us as well.

Security benefits
When you create your account, it is secured with a username and password that only you know. Your personal information held within your account is only accessable to users that have access to this username and password. If you keep your username and password safe, only you should have access to this information.

Usability benefits
Once you have created your account, you can attach personal information such as billing information and shipping addresses to your account. This allows us to give you a faster, more efficient and streamlined shopping experience because you only have to enter this information once. Each time you shop with us you can re-use the information that is already stored in your account.

Functionality benefits
Your account allows you to view all the orders you have ever placed with us. Further to this, you can track each orders progress right through to delivery to your door.

Customer Service benefits
The trends you and other shopppers like you exhibit over time through using your account allows us to tailor our site to your needs. In the future this will result in a far more enjoyable experience because your needs will be more closely met.

Account Creation Process
When you attempt to checkout your shopping cart you are re-directed to the Login page with a request that you log in. If you have not created an account before you will not have a username or password to login with. You will need to create your own account.

The account creation process typically starts when you click the Create an Account link on the Login page.

  
Filling in the create an account form creates a unique profile for you that you can use to simplify the billing process. You only need to go through the account creation process once. After that, all your account details will be stored and only made available once you have successfully logged in.

You must create an account before you can purchase goods from our store. All details entered on this site that are associated with your profile with remain completely confidential to Pristine. This information is secured with 128-bit encryption and can only be accessed over the internet with your username and password.

In accordance with the Privacy Act, we will only divulge information that we retain about you to yourself, on your request. Please read our terms of use for further information.

The login and password details are used to verify your identity when you login.

To create an account, fill in all the fields on the Create an Account page and click the submit button. Fields marked with an asterix are required.
Username
The username consists of alpha-numeric characters (e.g. pearce1). The username uniquely identifies you - no other user can have the same username as you. When creating an account, you may enter a username that has already been used by someone else. If this happens, simply change your username slightly, for example by adding a number to it. After you create you account, you always use your username and password to log in. Your username cannot be changed once you have created it.
Password
The password is also alpha-numeric (e.g. secr3t), however when you enter the password it appears as asterix (*) characters to prevent other people seeing it.

The password is a security feature used to prevent other users accessing your account. Keep your password in a safe place.
Re-confirm your Password
Re-confirmation of your password is a simple way to ensure you have entered the password you intended to. If you get an error about the password and its confirmation not matching, simply carefully re-enter both passwords and submit the form again.
Company Name
Company Name is only required if you are purchasing gifts as a representative of a company. If a Company Name is entered, all invoices will be addressed to the company and attentioned to the value entered in the 'Your Name' field.
Your Name
This is your name and is used to address you within various areas of this website and in email correspondence.
Your Postage Name
This is the name you wish to be addressed by in postal correspondence. If you do not specify a Postage Name, the Name you entered in the previous field will be used by default. For example, you may enter John Smith in the name field, and Mr. JA Smith in the postage name field.
Address
This is the address where we will send invoices, receipts and other correspondence to. This is not necessarily the address where goods will be sent. Only the first address line is a required field.
Town/City
This is the town or city where we will send invoices, receipts and other correspondence to. This is not necessarily the town or city where goods will be sent.
Postal Code/ZIP
This is the postal code or ZIP as used by your national postal service (eg. New Zealand Post) where we will send invoices, receipts and other correspondence to. If you are unsure what your Postal Code is, contact your Postal Service or leave the field blank. Do not enter incorrect postal codes as they may cause postage to be incorrectly handled. The Postal Code does not necessarily indicate where goods will be sent.
State
This is the State where we will send invoices, receipts and other correspondence to. Some countries, such as New Zealand do not use States. If this is the case, please leave the field blank. The State does not necessarily indicate where goods will be sent.
Freight Zone
The Freight Zone you select is used to calculate the delivery charges when your order is processed. You should select a Freight Zone appropriate for your physical location. We currently only deliver to New Zealand addresses and accept accounts worldwide. If your address is outside New Zealand, when you order you will not have the option to deliver to your account address so you will need to set up New Zealand based delivery addresses.
Country
This is the country where we will send invoices, receipts and other correspondence to. Currently we support customers worldwide and deliveries only within New Zealand. If your address is outside New Zealand, when you order you will not have the option to deliver to your account address so you will need to set up New Zealand based delivery addresses.
Phone Number
This is the primary phone number that we can use to contact you. It is important for us to have a means of contacting you quickly particularly if there are issues with your order. We will not contact you with intentions of Direct Marketing under any circumstances.

Fax Number
This is the primary fax number that we can use to contact you. It is important for us to have an alternative means of contacting you if there are issues with your order. We will not contact you with intentions of Direct Marketing under any circumstances.

Email Address
This is your primary email address. We use your email address to send you electronic notifications relating to your purchases from us. We will not use this email address for marketing our products unless you specifically give us permission to do so. We will not divulge your email address to any other parties.
