How to place an order |

To place an order you need to:
Add a gift basket to your shopping cart and;
Checkout
Adding your gift basket to your shopping cart

Your Shopping Cart is always located on the top right-hand side of our site.
You can think of your Shopping Cart in the same way as you would a normal shopping cart. You can add as many products as you want to your Shopping Cart. And just like a normal shopping cart, you will not have to pay for those products until you checkout.
When you first start using our site your Shopping Cart will be empty as follows:

To add a gift basket to your shopping cart, you click the Add to Cart button from the Browse, Search Results, or Product Details page as described in the Site Walkthrough: Finding a gift basket you like and Site Walkthrough: Detailed view of your selected gift basket help pages.
After clicking the Add to Cart button the Gift Basket you have added will appear in your Shopping Cart similarly to the following picture:

You can do many things with your Shopping Cart including:
Viewing any item you have in your Cart
Changing the quantity of any item in your Cart
Removing any item from your Cart
Seeing how many items you have in your Cart
Viewing typical freight charges for delivering items
Checking out your Cart
We will now explain the various components of the Shopping Cart so you can learn to use it yourself:

Number of Items The number of items in your Shopping Cart is always displayed as a status message at the top of your cart. |

Line item Each item you add to your cart will show as a line item. Line items include:

|
Product Name The name of the product item. When you click on the name, you will be taken to the Product Detail page for that particular product item. |
 |
|
Product Quantity: The quantity of the particular line item. To change the quantity, just enter a number in this text box and click the little calculator next to the quantity. |
 |

|
Re-calculate Price: After changing the product quantity, click the Re-calculate price button to adjust the prices to account for the changed quantity. |
 |
|
Price: This is the product price multiplied by the quantity. This price includes G.S.T. and excludes Freight. |
 |

|
Remove Item: Removes the line item from your cart. |
 |

|
Total The total is displayed at the bottom of the line items. It is the sum of each of the line items in the cart and indicates the current cost to you, if you were to checkout the basket at this point in time. The total excludes Freight charges as this depends on where the products will be delivered to.
If you would like more information on delivery charges click the Freight link on the total line.

Checkout When you are ready to place your order, click the Checkout button.
You will then be taken through the Checkout process where you confirm things like your account information, your delivery address, and your payment method.

You now understand how to add products to your Shopping Cart, change the contents of your cart as required and start the Checkout process.

Checkout
|
|
Checking out defines the process for completing an order after you have either added one or more pre-made baskets to your Shopping Cart or created your own custom basket.
For more information on how to do this, refer to the Site Walkthrough: Adding your gift basket to your shopping cart or Site Walkthrough: Creating your very own gift basket help pages.
As part of the checkout process you will be asked to confirm billing, delivery and payment details.
To start Checking out click the Checkout button on your Shopping Cart.

In order to checkout you need be logged in to your account. If you are not logged in to your account when you checkout, the login page will be displayed.
To log in you must already have an account. If you do not have an account you will need to register first. The registration link is available on the log in page.
For more information on what an account is and how to set one up (ie. the registration process) refer to the Using Your Account help page.
Once you have successfully set up your account and logged in you will be presented with the Checkout page.
For ease of use, the Checkout page is broken into three parts:
1. Confirm your billing details
2. Select your delivery address
3. Enter your payment details
1. Confirm your billing details
When you create your account as part of the registration process you are asked to enter your address, your phone number and your fax number.

These details are displayed in this section of the Checkout page and you are asked to confirm if the details are correct. This information is used by us to send you your order confirmation and receipts. We will also use these details to contact you if there are any issues with your delivery.
2. Select your delivery address
As part of your account, you can add one or more delivery addresses. These delivery addresses are displayed in this section of the Checkout page.

You are asked to select one of the addresses as the address you wish your order to be delivered to.
Simply select the option button next to the address you wish to use, or click the Add Address button if you want to add an address that isn't currently part of your profile.
If the address you want to use is listed, but the address is incorrect, click the Update Address link next to the address you wish to change.
If you live in New Zealand, you will have the additional option to deliver to your Billing Address.
Note 1: We deliver to any New Zealand address. We do not deliver outside New Zealand.
Note 2: We do not have the facility to deliver a single order to multiple addresses. We recommend that you place separate orders for each delivery address you wish to send orders to.
After you have selected the delivery address, you have the option to enter delivery instructions and type a special note for the receiver.
Typically delivery instructions are used to let the courier know of any issues with delivering your order such as difficult to find places. However, you can also let us know any special requirements. For example, the colour of the ribbon or card you would prefer etc.
3. Enter your payment details
The last section of the Checkout page is to capture your payment information.

The available payment methods are:
Visa
Mastercard
American Express
Cash
Cheque
If you select Visa, Mastercard or American Express, you will also need to record the name on your Credit Card, the Credit Card number and the Expiry date.
We understand of all your information, your Credit Card information has the greatest potential to be mis-used. We understand this and have put in special measures to handle Credit Card information. For more details on these measures refer to the How we keep your Credit Card information secure help page.
If you select Cheque, the name on the Credit Card, the Credit Card number and the Expiry date are not required. For Cheque orders send us your cheque by mail and we will place your order on hold until we receive your cheque.
After you have filled in the three sections click the Proceed button at the bottom of the page.

You will then be taken to the Finalise Order page.

The Finalise Order page simply provides final confirmation of your order contents and freight charges along with re-confirmation of the billing, shipping and payment details entered on the previous Checkout page.
Thoroughly check through the details on this page and if any information is not correct, click the Checkout page link to step back to the previous Checkout page.
If you are happy with all the details, click the Finish button to complete your order and complete the Checkout process.
After you click the Finish button the Thankyou page will be displayed.

The Thankyou page provides a link to a copy of the Purchase Order. In addition to this confirmation, an email is sent to you so you have a record of the details of your order.
