Determining the weight of products |
|
|
|
Along with the delivery address, the weight of products has implications on the amount we charge for freight for your order.
We store product weights for both Pre-made baskets as well as individual products. Individual products are used when making your own custom baskets.
Product weights are available in three locations on the site:
 the Product Details page
the Shopping Cart panel
the Finalise Order page after checking out

Product Details page
To view the weight of a product through the Product Details page, first find the product you are interested in. You can do this by browsing or searching.
Once you have found a product, click on the 'View more details' link to see the Product Details page.
If you are unfamiliar with the Product Details page, you can gain a good understanding by working through the Site Walkthrough: Detailed view of your selected gift basket.
The weight of the product is displayed below the heading 'Product Dimensions', in kilograms. In the example above, the weight is 1.0180 kilograms.

Shopping Cart panel
When you add one or more products to the Shopping Cart, the total weight (in Kilograms) is displayed at the bottom of the cart. For more details on how to Add items to the Shopping Cart, refer to Site Walkthrough: Adding your gift basket to your shopping cart.
In the example above, the total weight of the cart is 3.17kg. This is calculated as Lavender Lady (1.0180kg x 2) + Bloke Box (1.1340kg x 1).

Finalise Order page
Instead of viewing individual product weights through the Product Details page or viewing just the total in the Shopping Cart, you can view the Product Weights of all items in your Shopping Cart and the total weight of your order on the Finalise Order page.
To access the Finalise Order page, you will first need to log in to your account, add items to your cart and then Checkout your cart.
On the Checkout page, select a delivery address and enter some payment details and click the Proceed button. You will then reach the finalise order page.
The 'Your Order Details' section of the Finalise Order page displays the weight of each line item, calculated as the weight of the product multiplied by the quantity ordered. On the Freight summary line the total weight is also presented.
Note: The finalise order page does not require you to complete your order. Simply click the Checkout page link at the top of the page, or click the Home page on the top blue bar to cancel your order.
